Jewelry photography with the Phase One 120 mm AF lens

Photographer Søren Jonesen is specialized in jewelry photography. In this video we go behind the scenes with Søren on a jewelry shooting for a catalog where he shoots with the new Phase One 120 mm Digital AF lens.
This kind of catalog job includes two types of shooting. First of all the product shots that need to be done in a uniform way so the end buyer can clearly see
design and materials. Then the lifestyle images for the cover to show the collection’s ‘feel’.
Søren likes the AF 120 lens because he can work with it on both types of shooting: “It’s a very good portrait lens, it has AF, and it has macro.
I enjoy the limit function on the AF 120 because when I move in for closer shots I can turn on the limit function and then the AF only works in the macro area.
It’s a very nice feature, to be able to read the MAG factor when you need to make uniform product shots in the studio.”
